What Olivia Wore..

Thursday 3 July 2014

On June 29th, Olivia Palermo married Johannes Huebl after six and a half years of dating. The wedding took place in Bedford, New York and Olivia could not have made a more beautiful bride.

Introducing Mr and Mrs Huebl: Olivia Palermo married longtime love Johannes Huebl in Bedford, New York on Saturday
In line with her preppy-with-a-twist off-duty style, Palermo chose a classic full-skirted silhouette, by Carolina Herrera that featured a scoop hem and split up the front. Herrera custom made Olivia's whole outfit, the skirt, the shorts that you can just make out underneath and the beautiful cream jumper embellished with ostrich feathers.

Johannes, a model, was the perfect compliment to his new wife in a custom Marc Anthony Hamburg white suit, and a navy Charvet tie.

And the bride was stunning: The socialite wore Carolina Herrera with cobalt Manolo Blahniks acting as her 'something blue'

Olivia couldn’t be more in tune with Carrie Bradshaw!

Why we love her look..

Her Something Blue

In a move à la Carrie Bradshaw, the bride opted for cobalt blue Manolo Blahnik heels featuring a crystal buckle—the same as Carrie Bradshaw famously wore for her civil ceremony with Mr Big in the Sex and the City movie.  These beauties will set you back $749.

Her Tailored Shorts

Palermo paired her full tulle satin and silk skirt with what else, chic white shorts.

Her Signature Hair

Though we have seen this hairstyle on Palermo many times before, that’s what makes us love it more. Her signature centre-parted ponytail was topped off with natural-looking makeup, which provided a soft romantic touch. “I wanted the makeup to be light and fresh and more focused about the lashes while keeping the eyes clean. My hair was in an uncontrived ponytail, one of my favourite personal looks,” Palermo said on her website. She couldn’t have looked more gorgeous.

Her Cashmere Top

She finished off her Carolina Herrera ensemble with a simple cream cashmere sweater, which featured scattered ostrich feathers. This top was definitely a unique choice for a summer wedding, but the look came together fabulously!

Her Husband, Johannes Huebel noted that this was only part one of their wedding celebration - here’s hoping Palermo will show off at least one more amazing bridal look.

Bring on Part II!
