Olivia Palermo NYFW Spring 2017 //

Friday 16 September 2016

If there's one thing we can always expect from Olivia Palermo, it's an amazing outfit. And during Fashion Month, the stakes are even higher -it's not about the shows; it's all about Olivia.
It's not a surprise that OP turns up in the front row at Fashion Week looking impossibly chic; it's become more routine each season. We expect a stellar showing of outfits from the style setter, and that's exactly what we get, with Olivia working over time to give us multiple looks in a single day (as she jets from show to show), adding up to outfit fodder that'll last all season.
This is Olivia's boldest Fashion Week to date. The trendsetter's crafted an aesthetic that manages to land in the sophisticated style camp, though one foot is firmly stepping into eclectic, almost quirky, territory. She toes the line effortlessly, balancing big designer names with bargain buys and the pieces from her own Nordstrom collection. Suffice it to say, despite the many, many stylish women flocking to the shows, we've always got our eye on Olivia.

September Simplicity //

Wednesday 7 September 2016

It's that indecisive, stuck in the middle, uncertain time—In other words, it's transition season. Autumn should open the door to endless possibilities- You can wear just about anything, from dresses to overalls to leather jackets to boots and more. The fickle weather allows for you to wear your entire wardrobe, which means more creative freedom and layering! So, what’s on top for this year’s autumn/winter trends? It's all about the layering. Here are just a few of my favourite looks..

Olivia Palermo has joined forces with high street retailer Coast for their latest campaign and it's easy to see why the store would snap her up. Olivia is known for her chic style so it's no surprise Coast's autumn/winter line is so fabulous. Jo Malone Basil & Neroli //

"A Sophisticated, sensual floral with green facets – stunning in it’s simplicity" - Anne Flipo, Perfumer

Hands up if you love Jo Malone? I feel like the world is head-over-heels in love with Jo Malone London which is why their new fragrance launches are very exciting!  I popped into Jo Malone BT2 , in Dundrum Town Centre to visit the team and sample their new fragrance, Basil & Neroli which is launching today, September 1st

The first citrus-floral from the brand, the scent pays tribute to their London heritage and also to their own history- it’s the first time they’ve used basil in a fragrance since their best-selling Lime Basil & Mandarin was introduced over two decades ago.

I was expecting the fragrance to have slightly more green, herby notes to it, however, it’s actually more of a floral fragrance which is balanced with a hint of zesty basil. The Neroli is pure, uplifting and beautiful, it has a real english country garden feel to it and the basil almost wafts in from the herb garden nearby.

Basil & Neroli is also the most unisex offering I’ve tried from the brand. True to their scent-layering philosophy, the brand suggest layering with Red Roses for women, and Pomegranate Noir for men.

I think it’s safe to say, we are looking at a future Jo Malone Classic; it’s both beautiful and cool, and it’s destined to be a future perfumey icon!

The Jo Malone Basil and Neroli collection will be available from 1st September priced between €34 for the body and handwash to €109 for the 100ml cologne from Jo Malone London & Brown Thomas, Dublin
