Long Hair, Don't Care @ Dylan Bradshaw's

‘It’s an event when you come into the place. When you walk down to the salon space, it’s all going on' - Dylan Bradshaw

In this 10,000 square ft salon, it’s like the recession never happened- the pampered clients sip on glasses of champagne and play on the salon’s iPads while getting their hair snipped and teased into the latest style.

A short stroll from Grafton St, it's my go to place when my roots get out of control, I always end up going back there for a number of reasons. Firstly you get thee most sumptuous hairdressing experience, I know, I know, I shouldn't be so fickle, but you just can't help fall a little in love with the uber sophisticated interior, state-of-the-art equipment topped off with a large heated roof terrace and a private pampering room.

What's not to love? Erm, the price , but more about that later.

My stylist, Kat, suggested thin blonde with some lowlights weaved through the parting. The team always take the time to go through exactly what look you want and get to work on those roots in record speed. After my hair was washed and a conditioning treatment massaged in, Aiden would be the guy on task to complete my transformation with a bouncy blow dry, at only 19 and attending Dylan's Academy, this guy was a pro!

What's the damage? It’s a high-end space, so you do get a great customer service experience, and yes, you do pay for it – a cut with the man himself would cost €125 (ouch) and highlights start at €100 for parting, €130 for half head & €200 for a full head.

but...

Marks awarded for the complimentary shaitsu head massage , a choice of drinks, up-to-date magazines, and a relaxing hair-wash area to the rear of the salon.

Products used include Shu Uemura’s Art of Hair line and Kerastase.
