Neutral Tones //

I wore this outfit to an event I had this week and I loved the business casual feel of it. With only a few weeks left of my pregnancy, it's getting harder to fit into things! I have been looking everywhere for the perfect non-maternity skinny jeans and I finally found a pair! These ZARA jeans are a slim fit for my legs but are still comfy for my baby bump. I will definitely be wearing them a lot after my pregnancy too. My Savida by Dunnes Stores shoes are so comfortable and the Modalu tote just brings the look together. This bag was a good investment and will last for years!
Have you found the perfect maternity jeans yet?

It's everyones guilty pleasure, a clothing store thats known and loved for it's fashion forward pieces at bargain prices and after recently being hailed as a 'retailing powerhouse' that's perfected the art of mixing low prices with high fashion by retail analysts, Primark has unveiled another on-trend A/W 15 collection...
(dress, £25, shoes, £18, earrings, £6)
This is my favourite piece from the collection, it is more than reminiscent of the black sheer high neck tulle lace Valentino gown from the Autumn 2015 collection.
Primark describe the new range as 'empowering, beautiful and fearless', and say they've added sleeker silhouettes with much greater attention to detail for the colder months ahead. Taking note of the bohemian and Seventies trends on the recent catwalks, the new offering comprises black shift dresses, cosy shearling coats and oversized ponchos.
(gilet £28, cardigan, £16, jumper, £12, jeans, £8, trainers, £12)
Right Coat, £28, dress, £18, boots, £20.
left blouse, £18, dress, £20, shoes, £14
Primark has considerably upped its fashion game in recent years, with stronger, on-trend ranges that have made it a clear winner among fashion bloggers. It is showing off its fashion credentials in 2015 ,as well as a premium denim collection, which includes this season’s jean du jour; the flare, it's tapping into the latest fashion week trends. Reflecting the catwalk, 70s-inspired pieces and stripes play a big part of the new collection. There's a strong accessory offering too, with on-trend mini bags, clutches and classic satchels.
Left-hat, £8,coat,£25,blouse, £10, skirt, £8, boots, £18, bag, £7)
Right -(poncho, £14, cape, £16, jumper, £5, boots, £22
Right -(poncho, £14, cape, £16, jumper, £5, boots, £22
(gilet, £18, jumper, £8, skirt, £15, bag, £10, boots, £18, and right: hat, £7, coat, £35, top, £6, jeans, £15, trainers, £12)
What is your favourite piece from the new collection?
The Faux Fur Gilet //
Call it a long vest, call it a gilet, call it a sleeveless coat—whatever you call it, the menswear-inspired autumn outerwear piece is the ideal piece to add to your work wardrobe for transitioning to autumn and well into the season . It's polished enough to take you into an important meeting at work and cool enough to wear over a summer dress for after-work cocktails.
As always, Olivia Palermo has been miles ahead in the style stakes and the fur gilet has been her favourite wardrobe staple for the past few winters. The High Street stores has taken note, and now everyone from Topshop to Zara offer a vast array of faux fur gilets in every shade, print and texture imaginable, whether you want a fine layering gilet or a thicker faux fur. We’ve looked at some of Olivia P’s best looks for this piece and you can shop them below..

I’ve been slowly but surely building up my Autumn wardrobe and looking through my Pinterest 'Styling Me Pretty' board for inspiration. The trench was one of the best investments I’ve ever made but this season, it's all about this stunning suede biker jacket from Topshop. A staple like this is an investment and will see you into the winter & next spring.
The Chloé Faye is just beautiful, much bigger than the Chloé drew. It is definitely on my wish list but it's only a matter of time before Zara bring out their own version! A fedora at this time of year is a must and Topshop always have the best quality ones at great affordable prices.
If you are on the hunt for a great stiletto, these KG ones are perfect and are so elegant and classic. I am loving Longchamp's collection of handbags-similar to Prada but only a fraction of the cost.
Finally, it can't be autumn without a deeper nail colour and Olivia Palermo has a great range with Ciaté. Blood red nails are essential at this time of year!
Happy weekend!

I think I found the perfect moisturiser. For years I have searched for a facial lotion that is moisturising without being greasy, lightweight without being insubstantial, that included vitamins and antioxidants but that didn’t include any perfumes, that could be worn alone or under makeup, and most importantly made my skin look it’s best. Recently, I found it in Environ’s line of skin care products. Not the easiest of skincare brands to find, I am so lucky that my local salon stocks it and also Harvey Nichols in Dundrum.
Dr. Des Fernandes, a leading Cape Town plastic surgeon and expert in treating sun damaged skin, developed the line which is based around nourishing vitamin A as the active ingredient. Apparently, Vitamin A puts on a brilliant performance as miracle worker with anti-aging, anti-photodamage and soothing abilities. Skin becomes thin because of a general lack of vitamin A, sun damage, general ageing and excess exposure to cortisone. If the skin is not assisted by proper nutrition of all elements which contribute to healthy cell behaviour, the end result will be skin malnutrition lacking essential vitamins and nutrients.
The newer AVST range features an updated brigade of antioxidants, flavanoids and other wonderful skin nutrients. I noticed results within 2 weeks using it religiously and now devoted to this moisturiser! I graduated from AVST 1 to AVST3 and see all the more results.
The idea behind the products is that once you start, go for the products with lower doses of vitamin A first (AVST 1) and then build up to the stronger formulations (AVST 5)
I started with the AVST Cream 1 , which is moisturizing without being greasy, unscented and lightweight. It includes Vitamins A, C, E and B5 as well as Beta-Carotene and the antioxidant Resveratrol. The idea is to moisturise the skin, improve the look of uneven skin tone and diminish the appearance of sun damage.
I am using this in conjunction with Environ 'Sebuwash' I don't use this everyday because I don't have oily skin but I find it's great to use for a thorough cleanse with my Clarisonic. The cleanser is in a gel form and lightly foams when applied to your skin. It can be applied to dry or damp skin and still achieves a reasonable level of foaming. The smell isn’t particularly attractive, but is very clean and almost medicated smelling. Tea tree oil, salicylic acid and a special oil absorbing ingredient are the main properties within the cleanser with the tea tree working as a mild antiseptic against the salicylic acid exfoliating actions.
The price range for a cleanser starts at 20e & 46e for a moisturiser. These products are not available online.

This week, I visited Pamela Laird at the Beauty Parlour for Great Length extensions. This is my first dabble with extensions, I have never considered them before as my hair is quite long and in good-ish condition but I just fancied some extra length....
So after numerous recommendations from friends, I went for a consultation with Pamela. This is essential as you need to have a full colour match and discuss length required and maintenance. Pamela uses high quality Great Lengths hair and applies it using a ‘cold fusion’ multi sonic technique with no damaging heat or messy (scary) glue involved, an ultrasound vibration softens the extension bond so that it can either be moulded into a rounded bond for volume or wrapped around the hair to form a flat, undetectable bond. The attachments are brushable, durable and, most importantly, non-damaging. Great Lengths bonds are actually made of keratin, which has a molecular structure that is really similar to human hair with the same properties and alterations. The bonds hold the actual hair and are so small they are virtually undetectable in the hair. You can't feel them in your hair and when your hair is down, you can't see them.
The night before you get extensions, you must shampoo with a special cleanser shampoo to rid your hair of oils and product buildup. The actual process is so quick and easy , 2.5 hrs to be exact! As you can see from above, Pamela is an expert at blending colours, when you have highlights like me, its just not as easy to get an even distribution that is not obvious... thats why i think Great lengths are the best on the market and why a reputable hair extension specialist is a must. I did alot of research and would not even contemplate getting cheaper extensions as we all know what the result is and the finish is just so fake and unnatural.
After 48 hrs, I washed my hair as normal with Great Lengths Shampoo, but any sulphate free shampoo will do, you can use conditioner , just keep away from the roots as it may cause the bonds to loosen. Hair can be styled as you would normally style your hair or left to dry naturally. Always, always dry the bonds though to prevent them from remaining wet. My extensions dried exactly like my own hair.
Yes they are super expensive but I honestly think they are worth the splurge.
I am expecting them to last 6-8 months with proper care and maintenance.

What is it about blush, copper and gold? This copper KitchenAid has been added to my kitchen wish list. Ikea have a great selection of matte white storage units, the one featured is a book case but can always be transformed into a shoe/bag display:)I am loving the copper and blush trend, and have been pinning all my ideas on my home board on Pinterest- HERE!
Thank you to my 6.5k followers!

Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation //
If there is one thing that Charlotte Tilbury is good at, it is selling her products, seriously, she is the most passionate person and really sucks you in- just have a look at her YouTube channel and before you know it, you will have a long wishlist... Having spent 5 years developing this Magic Foundation, you can't help but expect big things. With the new foundation, Charlotte had also released a new brush, the Magic Complexion Brush.
First of all, the coverage really is amazing, I was expecting something thick and heavy but it glided on seamlessly and left no cakey residue. I had read reviews that some bloggers have found it too high coverage but to me, it's akin to Chanel Perfection Lumière Velvet which feels light on the skin too.
This foundation was specifically designed as a full coverage foundation, covering acne, scarring, redness, discolouration as well as smoothing out wrinkles and waking up tired skin. Sounds amazing!!
It contains skin care ingredients such as Laricyl, which tightens pores, Hyaluronic Spheres which plumps up the skin and Vitamin C which fights the damaging and ageing effects of free radicals. It also has an SPF15 so it will protect your skin throughout the day.
It's a food proof base for perfect skin without any heaviness you might expect from something that looks so flawless and lasts 8 hrs minimum. It feels comfortable on the skin and although the end result is a glowing luminous finish, it sets down to a velvety texture meaning you can skip powder. I love Charlotte Tilbury products and I think this foundation would be really good if you have Oily/Combination skin or just want a long-lasting flawless finish. Along with the 'Eyes To Mesmerise' cream shadows, this is my favourite release so far! |
For reference, I am a shade 5.
